Abstract Landscapes
This series centers on noticing the overlooked beauty in aging, rusting, and decaying objects—things that may seem uncommon or outdated in today’s fast-paced world. It highlights how time transforms these forgotten items, revealing textures, colors, and forms that speak to the quiet poetry of change. By focusing on the natural processes of aging and decay, the work invites viewers to find beauty in the cycle of life, the inevitability of death, and the stories carried within these weathered remnants of the past.
Even though we don’t get along, the end result is beautiful.
2016. 4x6’ Oil on Canvas.
A painting I did when I had conflicts with my roommates. I put all my frustrations on a canvas. It felt like all of our problems were all these different colors. At the end, it became a beautiful colored mess. I called it Even Though We Don’t Get Along, the End Result Is Beautiful and put it up in the hallway with the title on a post-it. The post-it was ripped off. But I got my resolution.
