ART

New Series: Flow

As an art educator and often playing the role of an art therapist to young children, I find the child’s voice to be the most underrepresented.  I am inspired by the imagination of our youth. My paintings show the purity of a child’s imagination and speak the language through a subconscious terrain of child-like motifs, symbols, and characters. The art has a strong sense of movement with colors exploding across the canvas in a fluid and curvaceous form. My paintings display the inner landscape of beauty and the magic of storytelling in its purest form.

Series: San Miguel

Created during my six-month stay in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, this work reflects a period when I took ceramic classes and delved into sculpture — a medium that came naturally to me as a new form of expression.

Series: The Beginnings

A period where I discovered color—along with happiness, joy, and a newfound freedom in self-expression through intentional brushstrokes. I found my flow, an immediate connection with the canvas that marked new beginnings. Everything I had learned about ‘art’ as a child was set aside, and replaced by the vibrant colors and textures of my true self-expression. In deconstructing perfectionism, I uncovered my authentic artistic voice on the canvas.

Series: Dream Interpretation

A period characterized by meditation, spirituality, and vivid lucid dreaming. I sought to capture the depth and visual imagery of an era marked by both disillusionment and the fulfillment of wisdom.

Series: Still Life

A period spent balancing high school and university art classes with a personal exploration of the themes of decay and rust.
